In February it was our pleasure to organize the General Assembly of our long-term partner Estonian Bar Association at Alexela Concert Hall. The assembly was held in a hybrid format – there were around 150 participants on site, but about 500 people took part of the event via the web.

Given the peculiarities of today’s world, it is understandable that we need to find a new approach to organizing events. It might be difficult to imagine a wedding or a company’s gala in a format that does not involve the physical presence of people, but in the case of the General Assembly of the Bar Association, the symbiosis of a regular on-site conference and web conference seemed logical.

People were able to take part in the hybrid event in the same way they were able to take part in the on-site event. In both ways, the members of the Bar Association could ask questions, propose various important topics, listen and see presentations, vote and make decisions.

In addition, with the hybrid event it was possible to reach a larger number of participants, as everyone could participate in the event at a suitable location without worrying about different rules and restrictions and for their own safety.
